You Have To Start Somewhere

I have been sitting on my domain for a while now mainly using it for an email address.  I wanted to get a new, more ‘professional’ email address and of course every combination of my name was already taken on gmail, so I decided to purchase my own domain and use it for my personal email address.  I have also been wanting to start a blog where I can compile my thoughts and share my findings from the internet and other places with the world.  I figure you have to start somewhere so here I go.

I want to take a bit to introduce myself.  I am a recent graduate from GVSU with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.  I currently work on the Grand Valley Webteam updating and maintaining the university’s site.  Outside of work I enjoy keeping up with the latest technology and gadgets.  I also like to take a break from all the technology and get outdoors.  I enjoy hunting, mainly waterfowl, but I like to dabble in turkey, rabbit, and squirrel hunting.  During the summer months I spent a fair amount of time hiking, backpacking, and camping.  I enjoy working on and customizing my vehicles.  Currently, I own a 1998 Saturn SL2 that I have had for 3 years and have put many hours into making it my own.  I also have a 1997 Chevy Silverado that I picked up this spring and it has begun its customization course.

As you can probably tell I am not your typical ‘computer nerd’, I enjoy technology and gadgets and everything they offer, but I also have many other intestests and hobbies.  Feel free to connect with me on my blog, facebook, or twitter.
